Diwali Is 6 Days Away. What You Can Still Do This Week

Diwali is on November 8. That's six days from now.

If you haven't done much yet, don't panic and don't give up. A lot of buying happens in the last week, and a few small moves can still bring in real customers.

Day 1: Get your basics right

Open Google and search for your business. Check your timings, phone number and address. Update your Google Business Profile with festive hours, because a customer who finds "closed" will simply go elsewhere.

Day 2: Put one offer in front of people

One offer, one sentence, with an end date. "Free gift wrapping till Diwali." "Buy two, save extra." Put it on your Google profile, your Instagram and your website's first screen.

Day 3: Message people who already know you

Your WhatsApp contacts and past customers are your easiest sales this week. Send one short, friendly message with the offer. Don't send five. One is enough.

Day 4: Show your shop or team

A short video or a few photos: the decorated shop, the packed boxes, the team getting ready. People buy from businesses that feel alive.

Day 5: Create a gentle push

"Only a few left." "Orders close tomorrow." If it's true, say it. Real urgency works better than invented urgency.

Day 6: Be fast

Reply to every message quickly. During a festival rush, speed beats almost everything else. A reply in ten minutes can win a sale that a reply in ten hours loses.

A quick checklist

  • Google profile updated
  • One offer, one end date
  • One WhatsApp message to past customers
  • Photos or video from your shop
  • Quick replies
